Wonder what the price in Canada was for 2009 model and if there is a price increase. U.S. pricing not yet announced. Picked this info doing a web search.

2009 GZ, $4899.00. Do I get a cookie now. lol. Likely doesn't include PDI and set up or paper work. Also figure another 12% for PST and GST in B.C. Bikes are far from cheap here and with a shorter riding season for most folks it is not worth the investment. If I had not moved to the West Coast it is highly unlikely I would have bought a bike again.

Hey WW as you are aware all bikes cost a lot more here in the GWN. If you want to ride you pay the price. I paid $4015.00 for my 2002 3 years ago from a dealer with 3 mo/3000k waranty. Fully reconditioned. No problems so far with 24000 km now on it . Bought with 9000km dec 2006 and stored at dealer until march 2007. I have rode for 3 seasons. I paid the going price at that time including tax new saddle bags and wind shield and dealer delivery/storage.

Don't I know it. Paid $9300 for the Vstrom in 05. I could never justify that living on the praireis though. I get my $ worth here on the coast.

Paid $3,400.00 out the door, U.S. Dollars. Cheap. Cheap and reasonable for a '09. Wish I bought a used one though, didn't realize how cheap you can get one with low mileage!
