He hasn't posted in a while. Maybe he took the summer off to go on a long ride.

Was wondering that myself the other day. His weekly reports were a treat to read and see. Hopefully his is just off for a long long ride and not something of a more serious nature.

Don't like the sounds of that. Normally if some one is off for an extended ride they make mention of it before leaving and/or a planned route.

Yea with Patrick's new information that sounds bad, hell he was even posting on here DURING his long trips. I don't like the sound of this at all.

Anyone ever ride with him? He's really 'net savvy (meaning paranoid) and I can't seem to find much information on him.
I've usually been able to quickly track ppl down from here before too...he's a powerful adversary.

Just a thought - If we don't hear from him in a reasonable time - check out his licence plate (it shows up on his photos) - I believe dannylightning has friends who may be able to assist! (hint, hint, danny!)

Good thinking, Alan. I also have plenty of friends that can help with that...
Still no response from email.

Just googled "busyweb". If this is the same one, & it seems to be, everything about him is hidden, & he's trying to get us to sign in to "downloader's heaven". Am I just being paranoid, or have we been taken for a ride (no pun intended!) by a very clever prankster? If it's the same busyweb (if it's not, it's an odd choice of name) he appears to be a computer expert. BTW, when I went onto his site, firefox stopped me entering a malicious site!
Licence plate :- Ontario, Ca. 18R6538

I tracked down the last thing he did on here, he edited this post "http://www.gz250bike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2629" and he hasnt logged in since, and like patrick said he hasn't logged in to the yamaha site he belongs to since the day before that, and he doesn't answer his e-mails. People that are as tied in to the internet and gadgets as busyweb obviously was, just don't quit using them, I am not even close to being computer savvy and I check my e-mail at least twice a day, we are talking about a man that would send us partial ride reports while he was still on those rides, I am as optimistic as anyone, but this just doesn't sound good.

Hewewew...
I'm here ....... thanks for concerning about me... :poorbaby:
I was busy to solve my DIY Camera Mouning problems.
About a month of efforts with different material and bike spots...all failed.
I made some local weekend riding to test my mount.....saddly, all was not satisfactory.
HOWEVER, at the last weekend finally, I got some good results.
Reduced high speed vibrations, and reduced low speed bumpy on the rough roads..
etc...etc....and some story for me.
It may need some fix or tuning though....
Here are some of the video clips that I had last Sunday.
PCH Malibu section, and Mulholand Hwy at the Santa Monica Mountain (close to home for test riding... ha ha ha)
There are none with expensive buy-out products, but only with my Point-and-Shot small camera, PVC Pipes, and some metal plates...and etc...
(Secret here, don't tell anybody
>> to reduce vibration try to mount very STEADY on the bikes body frame.... ha ha ha
>> to find this I had to spend all the month of Weekends..... )
At this clip, you can see how my mount works well at about starting at 3-4 min.

At here, some high speed results
[youtube:1u7bnh2x]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmhs31P5uG0[/youtube:1u7bnh2x]
Some curved road (rough and slow speed) riding results here.

If you want to see all the betifule sceneries of PCH Malibu Road and Mulholand Hwy.,
you could follow the links by clicking the clip window....
Thanks for all .....
I'm almost ready for some good weekend riding again with my new camera mount...

Hey Busy (and Moedad)
My show closed this weekend after being extended, so I have a little more time in my schedule for the first time this summer. I was thinking about that Angeles Forest road that just re-opened. Maybe even during the week to avoid traffic.
I know neither of you is big on group riding (and I guess I'm not either) but a two or three bike convoy every once in a while is palatable. Let me know if you're up for it.
I may head up to Monterey after a warm up.

Glad you're back. Those videos are nice and crisp, no vibration at all.
In addition to videos, we want to see a picture or two of your camera mount and details as to it's construction.

Busy, don't you do that to us again, we thought you kicked the bucket on us. We have gotten spoiled by your weekly ride reports to the point where we can't go with out them (obviously). On a serious note, glad to see that you are O.K. :2tup: .

I saw the article in the Register about the Chance and the show's success. Outstanding! Sounds like it was a great shot in the arm for the theater.
I'm open for a ACH run. I can't do the weekend of Sept. 18-20, but I'm pretty flexible other than that. A weekday isn't out of the question.
Busy, your mount works GREAT! Wonderful quality on those videos, even where PCH was scarified. Well done!

Busy, you did have us worried about your welfare. And please don't do that again.
Today's videos are just great. Can't wait for your next road trip.

Hi, all....
Thanks again.
Here the my new camera mounting photos.
I actually do not want to show it to the others, because it's figure looks so poorly constructed...^^:
Feels so under-skilled ...
I had to fix or implement solutions when I found the problems without any pre-planned schematics >> One By One... ha ha ha
But it works for me anyway..
[picasa=busyweb:24wdc6fb]5374103280223175921[/picasa:24wdc6fb]
I would say that it is draft version, but I may keep this setup until I got bigger problems.. ha ha ha
Thanks

Busy- you put so much time and effort into stuff. My employer/exploitation sense is tingling!

Interesting. Not the prettiest mount but it's function is what really counts. What I like best is the whole mount is made from available parts that can be found almost anywhere. Your videos prove that it works and there is little to no vibration. Maybe painting or taping the white plastic to a darker color would make it less noticable when the camera is not mounted. A big + for imagination and results.

Busyweb, you are hands down the craftiest Person I have seen in quite some time, I bet we could put you out in the middle of the wilderness with nothing but a pocket knife and a book of matches and come back a year later and you would be livin in a two story log cabin with a heater, a flat screen T.V. and a homemade generator to power them with. :rawk:
