In the middle of a trip Pennsylvania to Wisconsin and back

It has been about a month since I posted here I know... but I been riding!

I am about to head home to Philadelphia PA area on Thursday. I left there on May 10th and took two days to ride to Madison WI (1087 miles). Planning on a two day ride back. No pics yet as I have no cable for camera with me. Will post a ride report after I get back home. I have ridden about 700 miles since I got to Wisconsin on some day rides, and have had generally good weather.

I also rode down to Georgia and back last month and had a great time. Over 2000 miles on that trip. Will also post a ride report with pics for that trip.

The GL650 is working out to be a very good mile muncher, with mid 50's fuel economy as long as I stay at 65mph or so or below. When I cruise at 80mph plus the fuel economy really drops! Hey, I am learning to take it easy, I think.

Sounds like you are impressed with the GL. As many have found, you don't need a mega sized bike to travel the highways and enjoy the scenery. Looking forward to travel pics after you get home.
