View Full Version : Recall for a 2001 gz ?

I saw a comment on the forums that said the 01-05 gz's were recalled but i cant find it. Can someone point me to that post? I have a 01 that i dearly love.

I do not have link to the thread, but the recall was for the front side reflectors.

They are a little larger than on now.

Miner were replaced, then the right one fell off.

Really no big deal...

I think the reflector recall was for ALL of them; at least that's what I got. Locktite is your friend!
There was another recall for warped rear fenders or something like that.
Check the Suzuki web site or visit your dealer.

Just the reflector fell off, not the bracket.

Yeah I got a warped fender :-( But you'll know within 600 miles when you almost die.

I got the reflector notice, but this is the first I have heard of the rear fender recall.

Link or source please.

Edit: Just went to Suzuki site and only saw the reflector recall, nothing else.

My source, was my rear fender deciding to rub against my back wheel, and starting to eat away at my tire. When ever i wasn't giving it throttle my rear tire would shimmy back an fourth. Luckily I as a n00b, saw this as a serious problem and quit riding or i could have hit the concrete going 60. Suzuki paid for everything but it took em damn near foreverrrrrrr.

Maybe only applied to later models; mine is an '06.
Will look later if I remember. No time now.

Since they didn't actually fix my fender, maybe I should be watching it closer !!!
