I have a 2003 GZ250 for sale with a ruined engine. Not exactly sure what is wrong with it except that piston head came up and smashed the spark plug so I am guessing that the connecting rod is snapped in the engine. It might take a new engine to make the bike roadworthy again. Otherwise bike is complete with a couple of dents to the tank and it might need new tires. For someone with an extra engine, this bike would be perfect for you. I'll try to get pictures up in the next couple of days. I live in eastern Iowa and am interested in selling the entire bike and would prefer not to have to ship it. If interested, let me know soon as this bike will be going on Ebay.

Are you parting it out or just wanting to sell it whole? And how much?

Here is the PERFECT opportunity for one of you out there that wants to try to make a GZ into a 350 or whatever, to do it and do it cheap and not jack up your perfectly good bike in the process.

Not only that, if you fail, not only did you not screw up YOUR GZ, but now you have a whole sh$#load of spare parts, and the bike wasn't running anyways so what do you have to lose, it ain't gonna get any sweeter or better than that, if I lived anywhere in the vicinity of Iowa, and had a hankering to modify a GZ just to see what would happen I would get on this.

I just figured I would throw this out there since there have been SO MANY people dying to try this.

I think we drove motorhedfred off... so now WE WILL NEVER KNOW!!!

Didn't "Jer" live in Iowa? Or have we driven him off too?

I have thought of getting a bike like this and putting an electric motor and batteries in it. The gz would be a good candidate for this conversion.

I saw a guy on t.v. go cross country on a bike like that, I think it was a Harley if I am not mistaken, and he also just used places that had natural energy, like windmills and solar panels to charge up with.
