No, you're not. I'm a bit bigger than that in both aspects and I fit fine...in fact, it's a little stretched out in the legs for my tastes.

I am just really worried about looking like a ape on a tricycle for some odd reason.
Thanks for your answer.

It's not usually an issue unless you're over 6' and/or 250+. This bike looks much bigger than it is. I get surprised reactions every time I tell someone it's a 250. Everyone always thinks it's at least a 600.

It does look alot bigger, I would personally like to lower the seat a little bit, then of course throw a tach on there.

TILT! :??:

At 5'9", why would you want to LOWER the seat ??
At 5'5", with short legs, I tried a seat mod. that took out about 1" of padding and ended up uncomfortably low; kind of like the ape hanger feeling that you mentioned.
A few here have put on a tach; don't think that is a problem.

Do you actually HAVE a bike?? Looking ??

I know the feeling, i had it. For me, it was a little cramped and im 5'9 225lbs. But yea, i got that same feeling you are describing.... Chris Farley in Black Sheep : Fat guy in a little coat.

After getting my other bike my buddy DID say i looked like i fit it better than the GZ. So that made me feel better

If you want to see how different people look on a GZ, stop by a MSF course while they are riding. That might curb your worries ... or make them worse lol.

We used to refer to it as the "Chicken riding a June bug" look....as in, "Hey Billy Bob, you need to get a bigger bike. You look like a chicken riding a June bug on that thing!"

I'm only 5'11" but weigh 195-200 and I look ridiculous on the little GeeZee. Photos don't lie. If I'm ridding by a store window I don't look at the reflection.

Around here there are several Rebels and I think anyone looks funny on that bike because it is so narrow. Yesterday I saw a normal sized guy riding a Kawi eliminator. Chicken on a ladybug!

But who cares. Ride proud like this guy.

Yeah, im 6ft (6"2' in boots) and 260 and I do fine. Can even get to do 70 easilly. But that also could be why I have a moped plate on mine...

Are you too big for it in your eyes or other peoples eyes ?? Physically you are not too big for the bike. If you are comfy and all the controls fit then you are the right size. Other peoples eyes..............does it really matter all that much ?? Yah I know we all want to appear cool and such. Keep in mind you may not ride the GZ forever but it a great way to start a 2 wheeled career.
One of the local coffee guys at Starbucks got a bike in 07. A very nice well kept 1100 cc. cruiser. He didn't want to look like a nerd on a smaller bike that would be easier to learn on and gain experience. He never rode the bike at all this year and eventually just trucked it over to a buddy's drive way and tossed him the keys. His Ego has left him to drive cages forever.

Big guys on small bikes aren't the only problem.
Same thing happens on the water. Check this out :

I would make a wise crack about that guy or those guys but I do not want to offend. I like me ego and my eggo lol, I am only 17... 15 days Ill be 18, I have had the bike since I was 15 1/2. I was kinda wanting to know the cut off age/wieght/hieght.

Okay, now I see with clear eyes. It seems to be a maturity, manhood thing. A guy thing right ?? No you won't outgrow the GZ in 15 days. If you are happy with the bike now your age makes no difference. Maybe a little PEER pressure thrown in no doubt. Who cares in the grand scheme of things and will it really make any difference 5 years from now ?? All I know is I have ridden since I was 12 and never owned a bike until 31. Bought a 125 Suzuki, smallest bike in my group and the oldest rider to boot. Didn't make any real difference then and doesn't now. Happy Birthday and Ride Safe.

There's no age cut off, thats for sure.

Weight, well, i guess if you bottom out the shocks and haven't started it yet .. that would be a good indication.

Height ... i wouldnt recommend it if you were over 6' (though some on here are over that and have no problem).

I think the worst feeling i had, and you can probably appreciate this ... is when one or more harleys would pull up aside me, i'd feel like a little girl on a moped lol. Other major things factored in to me getting a bigger bike, but that one was sure on the list of reasons lol. Not saying its a girlie bike AT ALL .... just my personal opinion on how i felt at the time. I was already ready to move on.

It is kinda a man hood thing, but I can work past that, back when I was 15 and not 15 1/2 (lmao) My mom seen a guy on a bike and laughed at him because of the chicken on a june bug effect, well at the time I just blew it off and now I think of how thick my close are in the winter time and I just do not want to approach the coajb stage. I would like to stay a million mi from it.
I got a funny story for you all, back in the good ol days when I had my escort I put a E- Turbo on it, then I tried to put it on my bike. Of course it didnt work because of the fuel/air mix but It was fun to try.
I want to thank you all for answering my question.
Johnny.

Not only that he said back in the good ole days when i had my escort, so he must be talking like last year, cause you have to be 16 to drive. :haha2:

Nice, that pic messes with me for some reason. I don't know why. Anyway on with the buisness I personally love the bike I just don't know if I fit it. I don't know if that makes since or not, but for the time being I don't think I am going to worrie about what others think, if they don't like it then they can get me a new one. =D

I'm 5'9 215lb I raised the front of the seat about an inch and sometimes I ride with an inch thick foam pad in the center of the seat. This allows me to sit farther back on the seat makes it feel and look like it's a bit bigger. Works for me ☺️

The problem is not how you'll look on the bike. Problem might be the sitting position. I'm 5'8" and bike fits me well - but sitting if very fixed - separate solo seat with distinct dip. This is my first bike with forward foot controls. Seat is allowing only one set position and with forward controls you cant unload the seat by lifting yourself with legs - so this bike becomes uncomfortable after just an hour or so of ride. All my prior bikes with continuous two seat bench and center controls I was able to ride for many hours. Maneuver back and forth a bit to prevent a$$ fatigue. So bike is great for what I mainly use it for - around town hoping. But if you plan longer trips - TU250, GW250 would be better option...
