The great thing about the GZ is that even a novice can just about take it apart and put it back together. Thanks to the solid simple design. Mine went pop at 17, 000 miles had changes the oil with OEM oil and filters but it conked anyway. I now am nearing 21,000 after rebuilding it. I plan on riding it until everything disintegrates. Then I'll rebuild it and keep going :-0).

I could have sworn there was....but now it seems to be gone. Brian was gone for a long while. Wonder if he signed up with a different user name when he came back.
Brian....????

IIRC, saying that he rode his bike hard would be a gross understatement. I think he beat it to death....but I could be wrong. Me' memory ain't what it once was.

I'm riding everyday here in upstate new york. Spent a lot of time with a friend in his garage welding together a bike lift so I've been pretty busy riding and working on my Gz and my yamaha.

It's funny most people seem to think bigger is better but in this place at this time the GZ250 is the perfect choice. I always dream about a BMW R1200 Adventure but for driving around on snow and ice where often you need to drag your feet to prevent disaster anything but a GZ would be a poor choice.

If the economy falls apart and the end is near the GZ250 is the machine to have.

PS nice thing about motorcycles is that they never die. They just need more parts and hard labor to bring them back to life :-)
