Welcome, OC Hoosier. Moedad and I have been representin' the OC.
You haven't happened to have seen two other GZ250 owners hailing from Lakewood by any chance?

Haha, I hate to burst your bubble Alan, but no I haven't. By the way, count me in for your proposed Malibu road trip!

I'm in East Anaheim (locals call it Anaheim Hills... we're a little snooty), Moe is in Stanton and I think Busy is in LA. Where are you at? I'm thinking Jamboree and PCH (they do intersect, don't they?) might be a good rendez vous point.

I live in Costa Mesa, but work in Newport Coast. I frequent the 73 between Fairview and Macarthur on my commute, and have ventured onto the 405 occasionally. I've hit the 75mph mark a few times, but the motor is absolutely screaming (it also requires the "sport-bike" riding position with my nose on the speedo and feet on the back pegs).
I work every third weekend, so if we can all coordinate the best time to go, I'm all for it. Maybe you should cruise to Lakewood first to see if you can stir up some action?? Ha.
Yes, Jamboree does run into PCH, just north of Corona del Mar.

I've made some committments for the weekend of the 28th, and Sat OCt. 4th. but I'm game after that.
Maybe we should just ride around Lakewood every weekend until we spot them again...
