Gee Jer, I'm really feelin' sorry for you. It's about 85 here this AM, with highs around 92 today. So... I'll be in a t-shirt all day.
Really sucks don't it?? (NOT)

It'll be 68 when I leave at 4:30.
That'll be REAL NICE!!!!!

40, wow. I won't see 40 'till I open my freezer.
btw today was also my second commute to work. 8 miles each way. It's in the 80s here. Mostly cloudy.
Also still fun.
It was cold. But way fun!!!!
As I crusied by the boat ramps to a nearby lake there was a lot of fog off to either side of the road. It was really cool riding near that. I can see how people get into this.
I didnt miss not having music. (like in the car)
In fact I found myself singing Gary Moore's "Over The Hills & Far Away" in my head...... Thats an odd choice for me. Awesome song though.

Weird. I was singing Life Is A Highway by Tom Cochran this morning. It's not odd that I was singing. I sing all the time, poorly. Just odd that I was singing on the bike. I've never done that before.

You "singers" need an audio system. I'll have to check the rules, but I'm not sure you should be having that much fun.
:neener: O_o  :neener: O_o
I do need audio.
I'm thinking I'll give my earbuds a try.
Its not like I can hear anything on the bike anyway. I'll need to pay attention to my mind wandering. If I think I'm lowering my attention to the environment I'll have to yank em.

Man, that system is the shit. Where can I get one of those??
:haha: :haha: :haha:
Jer, on a serious note, pass on the ear buds and just get a handlebar mounted audio system for your mp3 player. Lots safer!!!
:)
what are those bullet speakers you mentioned.
Got a link?

Yea Sarris forgot to mention to ya that his "speaker" setup costs like 10 times what listening to an MP3 player with earbuds is gonna cost you.
Later
Hmmmmm. That is a bit spendy.

Yeah, but how much is it worth to you to rock the world. They also have systems as low as $139.
Also, it's probably illegal and possibly not safe to ride with earbuds.
:rawk:
I'll certainly check into it. (legality)
And if I feel out of touch at all I wont do it.
I'll check into the less expensive systems too. Though I cant imagine anything "lower end" working well at decent speeds.
If you cant hear it and it doesnt sound good why do it.
At work I have earbuds in most of the day. I still have to pay attention to ringing phones and co-workers approaching from my peripheral.....

I have a couple of pals that have the less expensive systems and they sound great. The difference in systems is that the speakers are larger and the amp is not waterproof and has to be mouted under the seat. Candy has one of the less pricey systems as well, and she loves hers.
:)
Cool. Great info. I really appreciate it!!!!
WHOOO HOOO!!!! Its up to 60 degrees now!!!!
My ride to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch is gonna be nice.

You ought to be able to ride to Buffalo Wild Wings in any temp. Just get some of their Mango Habenaro sauce or god forbid the Blazin  and you will sweat your way home LOL!. Man last week I tried the Mango Habanero sauce and it is f@#$ing HHHHHOTTTTTTTTT!!!!! haven't been brave enough to try the Blazin.
I usually get the Asian Tzing or whatever its called.
I'm not a fan of stupid hot stuff.
I do intend on taking it up a notch today though.

I have leather guantlets that really make a difference. Keeping your wrists warm and out of the cool air flow is a must for me. Heated grips and some sort of handguard to block wind is a good idea if you ride a lot in cooler temps.
