Hi, there.
I got my clutch snapped out from clutch-bar after all day long ride.
As begginer, I tried to make up but couldn't do any thing.
TOWed......expensive, but no other way to get out from situation.
My questions are..
1. Is it possible to ride without clutch cable is working?
2. Is it possible replace clutch cable without going to bike-shop? (mine is already scheduled with bike shop, but if possible I like to do by myself... to save money)
3. What kind of Tools are needed for GZ250 quick maintenences?
4. more, more, more questions.......for the next coming lessons I will learn.
Thanks in advance everybody.

First things first.
Hi, there.
I got my clutch snapped out from clutch-bar after all day long ride.
I'm not sure I understand your situation exactly. The cable came loose from the lever? Did something (your cable) actually break or did it just come loose?
My questions are..
1. Is it possible to ride without clutch cable is working?
2. Is it possible replace clutch cable without going to bike-shop? (mine is already scheduled with bike shop, but if possible I like to do by myself... to save money)

To answer in order:
1. No.
2. and 3. Yes. You should download the Service Manual (http://tinyurl.com/5ec8rs). If it is broke, as I suspect, then you'll have to get a new clutch cable, but those are cheap. The procedure is dead simple, but you'll need some zip ties and maybe a pair of needle nose pliers, but that's about it. The short procedure is on page 3-3 of the service manual. The cable you need is Suzuki part number 58200-13F00 - From BikeBandit.com it runs a whopping $10.29 (http://tinyurl.com/5vlck5).
Where are you located? This might change the price a bit.

Hi, there.
Yes, cable wire is came out from the holding part.
I attached the image where I tried to loss cable and get worsened ???
I can't find replace clutch cable section but found adjustment section from manual.
My bike will be at the Hollywood Honda (Los Angeles) tomorrow morning, currently in the Tow Shop, as today is holiday there is no one shop open.
I asked the man who towed my bike if he can keep the bike and tow to the shop next morning so I can save another towing cost.
And he said O.K., I don't have any tools nor any idea that I could do myself.
If that easy, I would like to do myself not only saving money but also for learning process.
I made lossen cable part which is right after the pole from clutch (or engine, red circle on image),
and suddenly clutch cable does not get any tension. Is it bad or o.k.?? Worried.
Thanks for your help

Yes, cable wire is came out from the holding part.
It broke. It is not repairable. It needs a new cable.
In this case, you should let the shop do it.
If you don't, how will you get it home to work on it yourself......pay another tow charge ??
We will try to help you as much as possible but it appears that communication might be a problem. I assume that English is not your first language ?

1) NOT good, if it is the original cable, please tell Suzuki. Send them your picture and story.
2) Agree with others, let them fix it, it shouldn't cost much
3) Yes you have tools, under the saddle there should be tools
4) I don't really understand as it probably lost all its tension when it popped out of the little cylinder at the handle. A clutch only has a short tension range, for now I would not worry.

Whoa pardner. I don't think we know how old his bike is, do we ??
That IS one of the points where cables tend to fail .......with age.
P.S. Just reminded me that I need to go lube the end of mine again with real oil. The silicone only stopped the squeek for a few days.

Hello, there.
My bike was serviced well from bike-shop this afternoon, replaced with new clutch cable, not that expensive as you guys said.
Mine was 2003 model. I bought it as pre-owned (used) couple of weeks ago, most parts of bike looks clean and works clean too. I have not noticed that clutch was little bit hard until I got new clutch cable with it, new cable wire color is white silver tone but old one was look oily black color ;) .
Thanks for all your help and comments. I learned a good lesson with it. And I'm going to prepare some essential tools for the bike and study service manual time to time.
