Hi everyone! i've been browsing the forums here for a few weeks (along with the forums over at Rebel250.com) while making the decision between buying a GZ and a Rebel. well, i found a great deal on a 2003 GZ250, and as of yesterday i'm an official Suzuki Owner! so, i figured i'd join the forums and put in my input.
I took the MSF class, bought my helmet, armored jacket, boots and gloves, and now i'm ready to ride! the onlly problem is, i bought my bike yesterday, registered it, got insurance and license plates, but now i'm going out of town for the weekend and won't be able to ride my bike! oh well, she'll be there waiting for me when i get home.

Welcome! :)
There is a lesson to be learned in everything. In the future, plan ahead so you can RIDE to your out of town destinations !
When you have the necessary experience, that is.
A couple of comments from your picture:
Wow, that looks just like MY bike.....except your's is a different shade of black.
Your windshield needs to be tilted back at the top just a tad, to cut down on the wind resistance and make it more stable.
Check your bags on the right side to be sure you have an inch or so clearance above the exhaust pipe.
Looks like you got a good buy, what with most of the necessary accessories included already.
How about putting your location in your profile ??

yeah, it came loaded with tons of accessories! got a great deal from a guy who bought the bike for his wife, and she never touched it, so he started using it to commute to work. only has about 1900 miles on it. he did mention possibly lifting the saddle bags so they aren't as close to the exhaust. there's about an inch of clearance, but he mentioned that it might cause some discoloration on the bottom of the bag.
also, i'll look into that windshield angle, i'm sure it's not too tough to adjust, probably just a couple of allen screws. thanks for the tips Easy Rider!
