Has anyone here ridden the Pig Trail in the Ozarks? If so how would a cruiser style 250 fair on that ride? I ask because of the hills involved in the ride. Being in Central AR I have thought of makeing the ride when I get time but concerned if the little thumper could handle the hills without it turning into a real B**** of a ride.

Depends on the speed you want to keep. You don't always have to be in 5th gear, and if you keep the RPMs in the upper range, you shouldn't have a problem with power on hills.

Assuming that the roads you take are not Interstates or other 4 lanes, you should be fine......given the above advice.
You won't be able to maintain 60 some of the time but the cages probably won't either.

In my trip over the Smokies and back I found that to be true. Where there were substantial hills but NOT curves, I found I could hold speed going up the hill better than I thought.......if I wound it up WFO (65-70 mph) when approaching the hill.

I can't speak for riding a 250 motorcycle or a motorcycle at all up in the ozarks. But I used to live in Eureka Springs, and if you get a chance to go up that way and make the "pig trail" ride you won't regret it. Eureka Springs and others up around that area are some of the most beautiful places to see in Arkansas.
