I like the whole saddlebags with no back seat look. I have been wanting to put saddlebags on mine, but I don't want to put the back seat back on. I will have to get with you on how you did that when and if I ever get any.

If you look closely you will see the chrome is missing behind the bags. Reason....bolts aren't long enough to go through the chrome and allow "direct hard" mounting. Longer bolts is the answer but a lot of trouble. So until the rear wheel is off for some reason and I can put in longer bolts I removed the chrome.
The bags are mounted to the bolts through holes in the bags with a grommet (is that what it is called) to keep the leather from ripping. Washers inside and out add insurance against ripping. The bags are inexpensive River Roads I've had a while so I can afford to abuse them.

You know whats funny, I showed my wife those pictures and she noticed (don't ask me how) in like two seconds that the chrome pieces were gone from behind them. But anyways you have "Thumper" lookin good, I am gonna have to ride over there and have a look at it one day.
