In homage to Dupo's thread (http://www.gz250bike.com/viewtopic.php?t=8) about modding the GZ to look old-school, I mocked up a semi-chopper version in Photoshop.

Personally....I'm not a fan.

Edit: Modified. Hard tail and lowered.

Man, that's cool as hell. The frame is a little too level for my personal taste, but very cool. Neat rear fender and exhaust too. Look at my avatar, that's really my last Suzuki. Might have to get out the torch now.

I think I'm crappin' my pants!!

:) O_o

Thanks for the comments. I think I'll take the back seat off of it and do something different with the lights & speedo.

If you go on ebay there is a gz that was turned into a bobber. Other than using the same seat it looks pretty cool.

I just went to ebay and the bobber only has 55 minutes left so most folks won't find it.

I love holding the handlebars with my teeth.

im not too keen on the look of that. But I am currently "chopping" a 2000 gz. It is stretched 7 inches. Corbin sportster seat, Making forward controls, made custom handlebars, thinking of using tail dragger style fenders. I will post pics of my progress as soon as i get another memory stick for the camera.

I don't mind at all. I'm still fishing around for more ideas for it though.

Pat, try and rotate the handle bars forward to a more vertical position. Usually with really tall apes, they are not in the same plane as the forks.

Also, hardtail struts are quite a bit smaller in diameter than you have shown.

Just a couple of thoughts from a former chopper owner.
